I’ve just ordered a Trek Rail 9.9, which will take 7-10 days.
I thought I’d get an Invisiframe kit ordered in preparation, so I can have it fitted before riding the bike.
3 options on the website... gloss, matt and split. What’s best? I haven’t seen the bike in the flesh yet, but it appears to have some of it as matt, and some gloss. I assume that’s what the split kit is for?
There is a note on the website that says:
“The Matte and Gloss kit we have designed for this frame is not an 100% match the split paint finish this is due to split in the paint being in a high wear area so would comprimise the life of the kit and also the split in the paint work finish is slightly different on each frame so it is impossible to create an exact finish to match. The kit we have designed gives the look of a split finish without comprimisng the protection kit.”
