Hi All,
I've decided i'll be buying an eMTB in 2019, so I've joined what seems to be a great forum on the subject (I have been reading the threads for a while).
I'm from Australia, and have been riding MTB's since 1994 when I bought a Mongoose Sycamore for riding the jumps and downhill trails near my house in Cairns. I don't live in Cairns anymore, but it was a perfect place an time to get into the sport as this was the time when the MudCows movies were becoming famous and MTBing racing was becoming really popular all over the world.
I currently ride a 2018 Trek Remedy 8. I don't get out as much as I used to, which is one of the reasons why an eMTB is appealing. It seems like a good option for maximising the fun of MTBing even if I haven't had time to get really fit.
I am hoping that 2019 is a year where the designs get refined, and some of the motors (like shimano or bosch) get a decent upgrade.
Cheers,
Ivan.
