I really liked the Spectral On CFR, it was the battery recall and the lack of a replacement that motivated me to do the return.
I got the Specialized Turbo Levo Comp Carbon a week ago, now it says 3 after the name, don't know if that means mine was old stock.

The Specialized was $7,000 plus tax, $8K out the door. The Canyon $1,500 less and much better parts. The Canyon had a 4 way adjustable Fox 38 shock, low and high speed compression and rebound, once I got it dialed in I really liked it. The Specialized has a Fox 36 Rhythm, not really impressed with that shock
Specialized is manual shifting, I feel like it has entry level parts for $7,000. All the rave reviews about the motor? I think the Shimano EP801 on the Canyon was just as good.
The Specialized Maven Bronze brakes, they can stop just fine but mushy.
I have done some pro motorsports and I like precision stuff. The Formula R1 brakes on my 2013 Blur XC I have yet to experience anything that has the feel and precision of those.
The Canyon had DT Swiss 1501's heard they are stronger than the Specialized factory wheels.
I am wondering why Specialized gets the rave reviews, is it like the car business where the companies that take out lots of full page ads get the best reviews?
Canyon makes a great bike then need to get their battery problem sorted out.
