They are NOTICABLEY better than the ZEBs that come on a rail 9.8XT and Im glad because I was hoping it was a worthy upgrade just make sure you get the correct spacer for brakes. This is it.

I've got a Fox 36 and Zeb Ultimate... the Zeb kills the 36 on all accounts so I have to laugh at the above post. That said, the 36 is a very good fork but really needs a Luftkappe to get the small bump compliance and mid-stroke support you'll need if you ride aggro as you'll need to run higher air pressures. Highly recommend Vorsprung for Fox forks; transformed mine into a great fork!

Have FUN!

^^ Yeah, we don't actually ride off road here in Oregon, might get our Zebs dirty...
As for my advice... take it or leave it - no skin off my back. I have over 4,000 posts on the mtbr forum and have wrenched bikes for 30 years. The guy with all the KOM's in Oregon and Washington state is certainly grateful for my setup advice...

Have FUN!

I have not but would love to!!! I spoke with a guy who got the new e-version of the Fox 36 and he got the Secus for his. He has shoulder problems and said it makes it so nice and plush off the top and was VERY happy with it. To be quite honest, that is the route I wanted to go as I feel Fox's high speed compression circuit is better than RS's and I'm more of a Fox guy anyway. The issue with all that is cost... I got the bro deal on a Zeb so I paid a couple hundred bucks less to begin with. Add in the cost of the Secus and it would have been $500 more for me to go that route. The 38's have been unavailable. Anyways... the Luftkappe was the best $100 I spent on my non-ebike 36 - easy fix for their harshness off the top and really transformed the fork for me. If money were no object, I would get the Secus. I'm not associated Vorsprung in any way but I can tell you they know what they're doing. So does Avy Racing and PUSH but their fixes are a lot more costly. Lastly I really like the idea of the Diaz Suspension Runt - very similar to how true Evol works in Fox's motorsports air shocks (the Evol air chamber is a complete misnomer). I have not had the chance to try one tho. Lot of cool products out there! Enjoy your 36, very nice fork!

Have FUN!
