I just picked up my orbea with the new replacement motor and the whole thing is a mess!

Jk, there are some weird changes though. The new motor is MUCH clunkier than the one it replaced, but that's okay as long as it works longer.

My defaults are SUPER wonky though. Anyone know why the defaults are so weird? Max torque is still 60nm, so it's not like it has the default EP8 tune. Also the new motor came with no RS sticker

just set the assist how you want it, maybe they do that for testing it and didn't bother to put it to default.

surprised it doesnt have the full EP8 tune with higher torque available..

Try to set the Assist Start lower than the Quick setting.
They are all set to fastest setting.
Just to try it out....
