Both those bikes have been replaced since that article was written. But I read it whilst I was thinking about an emtb and it pointed me towards the Focus, I'll not deny that.

I subsequently tested the newer versions of those bikes and quite a few more and ended up choosing the 2019 Focus Jam2 with its 150/150 travel.
