Back of an envelope stuff here and a purely hypothetical scenario

Bosch Gen 2 multiplies rotation speed by 2.5x
Therefore a standard 15t = 37.5t
A 16t = 40t

Let’s assume battery is out of the bike.
I’m on the flat and at maximum cadence I can achieve 25mph

If I change the front chainring to a 16t from a 15t I’ll only make a marginal increase to a top speed of 26.7mph at max cadence.

Not a big difference unless I’m getting all this horribly wrong?

I haven’t done any calc’s, but I swapped the standard 16t sprocket for a 19t a while ago. Two advantages from my perspective;
1) I don’t find myself pedalling like a lunatic quite so often
2) I don’t use the bottom 2 cogs of the cassette as much (SRAM 8 speed) so perhaps a little less ware & tear, purely anecdotal of course

Would I go back to a 16t? Nope
