Wondering why there isn’t a Canada section? Come on, we are the nicest country

Well you know ...you've probably just answered that question yourself ..brand new on the forum and causing trouble already ..
Why would you want a specific section though when you've got access to the rest of the world in the "General" slot ..as an example I always like seeing pics & articles posted by Stildog ( Canadian ) & Bambamoda ( USA) ..also stuff from the Southern Hemisphere ..but I've never yet ventured into their own "Regional sections" at all since being on the forum ..

I thought of a Canadian section when I first signed up here eh. Somewhere that I could spread my Canada Goose wings, where black bears are really trail dogs, -20*c ain’t that bad, we open doors for someone 2blocks away, sorry has many meanings, polar bears are part-time pets, a hockey stick is weapon and a toy, and…we have the greatest trails in the world .

I find that I don’t venture into the “foreign” sections at all. But I do visit the “Trek” section when I need advice or view the latest upgrade. The Picture of the Day section is extremely competitive. (Ie; Hodge and Etoni). There are some very very aggressive photographers in there. It’s not easy …but that’s good eh.

This is a big country. And with that comes big responsibilities. Listing all the amazing trails here could be a task. Too difficult for one section. Remember, when we take over …they’ll all be sorry!

There are two distinct races of brent geese. Dark-bellied brent geese breed in northern Russia and spend the winter in southern and eastern England. Pale-bellied brent geese breed mostly in Canada and Greenland and spend the winter mostly in Ireland.

Brent geese nest on the boggy Arctic tundra, where the severe climate allows them only about two months of good weather in which to raise a family. By mid-September, they have left their breeding grounds, and arrive in large flocks on our shores in early October. They spend the winter feeding on eelgrass in estuaries and on crops in adjoining fields.

In April, brent geese leave the UK and Ireland and head north again. The pale-bellied brent geese stop over in Iceland. Here they fatten up, increasing their weight by up to 40 per cent in preparation for the final 3,000 km (1,865 mile) flight over frozen Greenland to their breeding grounds in Canada.

The dark-bellied brent geese head the other way – east to Siberia. They stop off along the Baltic coast before reaching the Arctic in early June, just as the snow and ice is beginning to thaw.

Just got my wife a Husky and really want to get out, at least it warmed up and is raining so the snow will go away

So happy to see the rain this morning so we can get rid of that snow. Was even thinking of getting the skis out and dealing with getting up crazy early so I could line up for ages in the cold. Luckily I can now scratch that crazy thought.

Apparently there’s 70 trails on Burke and many more not on the map. After almost 4 years of riding on Burke I’m still finding secret trails. There’s some features here that make my heart stop and jumps that should have a team of brain surgeons spaced throughout and near the exit. Technical trails then technical drops. Dirt, rocks, roots, loam, water, mud, bears, bullets, joggers, trees, …and more fun stuff.

The problem is, it takes me 2 minutes and 47 seconds to peddle to the yellow gate entrance. I wish I was a bit closer.

The 2’ of snow in my backyard is now down to 2” thanks to this rain today.
