I had a bad pedal strike and broke a crank arm on my '23 Orbea Wild the other day. The pedal got loose and the threads were all gone. New cranks needed. I have narrowed it down to 155mm Hope or E thirteen Helix race (due to availability). They retail almost the same. The Helix Race weighs 412gr and the Hope 472gr. But the question is quality. Hope is made out of T7150 aluminium and the Helix Race is made out of 6061. It seems that the Hope crank arm material is better for the purpose?

I bought Miranda cranks, cheap and stiff enough - about 1/3 the price of Hope.

In any case, I'd rather bend a crank than transmit extra load from a stiffer crank into the motor.

That’s a valid point! I’d rather have the crank broken than the motor spline 😅
