Hello everyone,

I was using a dengfu carbon frame E06 with shimano E8000 and generic battery during 2021, but I had 2 E8000 with same problem (Torque sensor) after less than 1000 kms on second motor ...
So, I switched to a BH iLynx since beginning of 2022 , completly happy with the frame behavior, but a bit disapointed by the BH motor :
Power is OK, but when you stop-restart pedaling, assistance take at least 3 - 5 seconds to come back ... and too much assistance even at lowest setting
And BH enginiers don't seem to want to update the firmawre :-(

So, one big project , try to make an full open source motor ... I am only looking for 30 Nm help, not a monster ;-) but with same pleasure to use as shimano

Based on a Brushless 120 Kv, FESC 4.12 controller, hall cadence sensor with a Car Wheel Bearing ring, speed from GPS and Bike climbing angle from a MPU6050 and ESP32 to "manage" all of that ...
Speed reduction with 2 belts - gears coupling (28 to 1), main shaft from my old E8000, main one way system with a 14 teeth BMX freewheel
With 28.8 V, think i would be able to reach 100 RPM

Don't know if final project will run, but i'll try !!

All of info at

I yet have built the main shaft, second shaft, 1/3 of housing
Electronic parts are slowly debugging

Anyone welcome to share ideaS ;-)

Manu
