Hola, and Hello, from a Somerset bloke in Andalucia.

Greetings to the forum members from another newbie who, arguably, doesn't know his ar5e from his elbow. Originally from Somerset, we've been living over in Andalucia for around 16 years, having moved over to form an activity holiday company. Most of the MTB side of that fell to yrs trly, taking out small groups of horribly mixed abilities and aspirations on a fleet of hard tails, while striving to bring them, and the bikes, back without too many bits missing or broken. Like an idiot, though, I managed to have a heart attack while reading the Sunday papers, which came as bit of a surprise, given that my weight was fine, I didn't smoke and was an active biker, diver and ran a couple of times a week. Having been stented and restored to working order, a diet of beta blockers has now reduced my max heart rate, so after snarking at all my mates who have been on eMTBs for a while, am now looking to eat humble pie and join the dark side. Shortlisted an Orbea Rise, but do have a few questions over the cadence required, which I will be looking to pick your collective brains on in that forum.
