I'm, um, *new. I've had an e-bike that could loosely be described as an emtb for about eight years. I assembled it from the bones of a hideous beast bought from Argos, and equipped it with the beating heart of a Bafang BBS mid-drive motor. A thunderstorm or two later and its eldritch cries were heard to bounce among the hills of my dark and dreary homeland.
It's a Frankenbike, but it's safe, comfortable, and it's been *my* frankenbike for several thousand miles.
However, mistakes were made, and technology has progressed, and I'd now like to build something more credibly embt-ey and less frankenbikey, based on the Bafang m600 motor type.
And, that's what brought me here.
