HI all new to the eMTB seen, i have a £6K max budget, currently looking at either a Cube stereo Hybrid 140 TM, or a Trek Rail 9.5, I really want to to go with the Bosch Gen4 motor and 750 watt battery. thoughts?

Manufacturers are putting out better or improved bikes, motors and batteries each year. I personally don’t think you can go wrong with the Bosch gen4 motor. The 750wh battery is a bonus but not necessary for some of us lite-weights. Your riding style and some test rides can help you decide. I’ve had a Bosch gen4 motor for 2+ years and no problems …yet.

There’s a Cube forum section in here too which could give you specific information. I usually lurke in the Trek section.

Bosch gen4 is a good choice...............whether or not you need a huge ( and heavy) 750 w/h battery is totally dependant on the type of riding you intend doing. On most sorts of ride a 625 w/h battery will give you about 40 miles.........are you typically going to do more than that in a day??
Picking a bike you can source from a reasonably local bike shop is a good idea with an EMTB and obviously it is best to pick a bike you have been able to try...and like.......or at the very least sit on to check fit.

After that component spec needs to be suitable for the type of riding you do.

We all have our different buying criterea. For me, I would pick ( stick with) Bosch Gen4, 625 w/h is plenty for my rides, I would not buy a carbon framed bike, I would a void frame designs that use a knock block, I am not interested in app connectivity or ride stats other than can be grabbed with Strava by a phone, I prefer SRAM equipped bikes ( mostly because I know how to maintain/fix SRAM kit and both brakes and drivetrain have always worked fine for me), I do not like cutaway downtube designs to access the battery.
My choice is Whyte..........maybe you could take a look at Whyte as well if for no other reason than comparing for value.
