Hi all
Joined the forum as I'm looking for my first ebike.
Coming from a trek top fuel 8.

Would appreciate input/help to decide.

Looking between:
Giant reign e+3 2022 - 3100€
Cube hybrid one77 slx - 4200€
Cannondale moterra Sl 2 - 4500€

At 185cm im going for L on any onf them, looking for something as a do it all, from hard chunky trails to exploring the mountain. Not afraid of breaking a sweat.

I have some doubts mainky due to the motor/battery

Thanks

To "do it all" the cube 144 looks more the tool to the job. Regarding to motor /system bosch is maybe the better option in my opinion. I´m current riding a Cube 140 and I´me very happy with it. I´m considering to buy the 177 slx on the dark (no reviews so far or other opinions as they are slowly arriving to stores) , but I´m keeping the 140 for now.

I sat and rode around the street on the 144, seemed a good trail bike, but 150mm are a bit on the low side for the trails i do when it goes rowdy. I've ridden a friends reign e+2, suspensions were even a bit on the hard side and I've used the full travel, more than once... thats why my inclination for the 177.
Maybe i just need 2 bikes 😅

I´ve a friend racing enduro with the 140 and he is not alone. They race the last campeonato nacional in Sintra. So a very capable bike, but I agree the new 177 as some sex apeal :giggle::devilish:

From a a marketing perspective maybe the 144 vs 177 makes a point, but besides that it's basically the same bike with lighter parts and shorter suspension but the actual difference would be marginal. But if your doing some trail riding, a fox 38 / Zeb makes way more sense on these bikes.

From a newbie perspective, Cube has good motor, bigger battery and 4A charger. You can change a lot of things but not the battery. It is also better looking bike.....

They don´t have the same geo, so in papper they shouldn´t ride the same. Let´s see in real world.

Hi.

I have a friend that bought the cube 177 and its a beast!

So It's a good choice if you ask me.

We do all kind of stuff, but now mainly enduro.

My friend had problems with the Orbea Wild. He says that he will never buy Orbea again. Comparing the Cube he says it never goes back again. He had 4 bikes. 3 Wild and one rise.

I see, you know the problems?
Not devaluing his bad experience with Orbea, but I guess each time i search a new bike i find people saying they never buy that brand again, only problems... except for a small boutique brand, i would say that the customer support is a question of luck with any big brand in any sector. If the brands were really that bad, (looking at cannondale, yt or canyon in foruns makes you rhink they are the worst thing ever) do they still be selling?

Honestly you can do whatever you want.

Also if you want I can point you out the dealer in Barcelos, Portugal who sold the bikes as well.

nothing major but you can see it in his videos.

It has issues on the internal cables, the headset, the rear axle it had to be tightened after each ride, and the brand and the Dealer didn't care less... and they sold them 4!

But if you want I will give you his contact since you're Portuguese like we are.

And he talks to you.

I completely understand your point, like everyone else talks crap just to keep the brands down.

I assure you that this was not the case.

Just a reality check.

Keep ripping whatever your going into!

The Wild is a nice bike. But has to many quirks that I could not overcome and questionable quality control is on top of the list and would follow with strange builds (even the M10 has a performance fork, Seriously wtf?) limited shock options and that headset routed cables. But regarding to cube, the current offer on parent company Bike - Discount for the AT model is just hard to pass : Stereo Hybrid ONE77 HPC AT 800 carbon´n´gold

I have the 2022 Reign E+2, I can only vouch for that one on the list... 😊 Geo is spot on for me, it's been faultless (well almost, even with a few crashes) no issues with motor-battery. I think the E+3 would need some upgrades but it's the same geo and the price looks good. Cheers & Welcome to the site! 😎
