Hi emtb
Merry Christmas!
just saying hi... and a little info on my reason for joining.
I had a giant fastroad e+ 1 pro and a Scott spark 960 fs, both of which were stolen a few weeks back.
Decided that I would be better replacing with 1 bike and an emtb would be ideal.
I’m no serious mountain rider, my main usage is very bumpy canal and bridal paths - carrying 10-15kg of camera gear in a backpack - so the full suspension really helps my comfort and ageing back pains.
I’ve joined to find info on what would be most suitable, looking for something that will do 30-40 miles on mainly flat terrain paths, but that would also allow me to ride casual road routes with my partner who still has a liv electric road bike. So something that will keep up at 15mph.
So researching motors and batteries and tyres.
Currently comparing the giant stance, Scott strike 930 and trek rail 5 625 - ie Santa has informed me budget is on the ‘cheaper’ side of the emtb range.
Anyhow enough waffling- off to read some threads and happy Xmas again!
