Cheers.
Great source of info and options on this site. Besides my own personal preference of eMTB, I would recommend buying locally for the support that you’ll likely need.
Thats the plan ! Looking into a Transition Sentinel since they make it as a xxl...Yes, buy locally. If you never need the support of a LBS then you got lucky. But if you do then they will be there for you. YKIMS.

“What’s up in Weyburn”? Lived in Speedy Creek almost 3 years but never been to Weyburn. Regina to Gull Lake was my stomping grounds …and occasionally Montana during a beer strike. From sask and bought a gasgas trail 3 on sale for $3750.00. Been a game changer. Bike been great bike put 2100km on it. Also put studded tires on for winter. I also should add this is the year to buy one with great deals on e-bike right now.

Welcome to the forums. Im in NB, long time BC and AB.Hi, well after years of riding I finally tried an ebike at a demo day and now I'm looking for one...
I'm doing more enduro / all mountain and still unsure of the model but I'll gather as much info on this forum as I can
What area of NB are you in? My clan is in the Bathurst area (seems like everyone is a relative), but I was born in Chatham (military brat). My brother is moving bacc dare this spring. I’ll stay in BC since I helped populate this province.Welcome to the forums. Im in NB, long time BC and AB.
Friends in canmore were asking which bike to buy. Theyre long time banff/canmore residents origonally from QC.
I said they may want to wait until early 2025 for all the new bosch gen 5 bikes. Bosch and tge weight of most of those is maybe the next level. I also said the deals on the yt decoys is outstanding and the decoy is still a great bike. YT has been great to deal with as well.
They ended up settling on the yt decoy mx with ohlins suspension. I think its 35% off currently. YT ended up giving them a code for a further 5% off if the wanted the slightly more expensive decoy with fox factory suspension and electronic shifting among other things. It ended up to be very close to the same price as the ohlins model. Just over 7k cad.
You'd want to size up from youre regular size id imagine. Look at reach numbers. For that price its ez to add any personal upgrades and still have a killer deal. Reach headsets are 100cad and can add 6mm of reach as well.
Good luck with your purchase. Lots of great options out there at surprising discounts
Cold and windy right now. We actually started a trail club about 4 years ago and has grown quite a bit. Been through Gull lake area many times. Talk about cowboy/rig pig town. Haha.“What’s up in Weyburn”? Lived in Speedy Creek almost 3 years but never been to Weyburn. Regina to Gull Lake was my stomping grounds …and occasionally Montana during a beer strike.Cold
Visited my brother on his farm in Pincher Creek once and watched his dog run away for 3 days. Probably ran past your house?
Haa 11 !!! Thats awesome. Im back in Freddy for almost 3 yrs , after 25 in banff/canmore and 11 in revy. Its nice to see family and help out . I think itd be better go just visit annually. That makes much more sense financially and a ton more sense if a person wants to mtb and ski. Western ski town bumper sticker "my life is better than your vacation" never seemed more true than now, being back in freddy. Its getting better though with a few bike parks opening and or expanding. What area of NB are you in? Oh right i seem to recall seeing that i think. Great spot and riding around tgere i hear. Do you ever see Vic on the burke trails these days? Havent seen or heard from him in a few yearsNever been to Freddy but worked in Moncton(1yr) after graduation in Amherst.
Loved visiting Banff and Canmore when I lived in Cow-Town (1yr) , before Speedy Creek. Been to, or lived, in every province except Manitoba. (Flew over it), but my wife is from Winnipeg. She hated really big mosquitoes and I hated mosquitoes …so we got along.
After a logging/falling career on Van Island, I settled in Pomo, Poco and Coco for retirement (Tri-Cities). Burke and Eagle mountain in my backyard. I’m glad my world is small and simple now .
Yes! I met Vic a few times and I know his son quite well (Brian). As you probably know he’s developed numerous trails on Burke. Vic is now on Vancouver Island being looked after by his daughter. It’s not looking good for Vic unfortunately …but his legacy lives on (Upper Vic’s and Lower Vic’s).Oh right i seem to recall seeing that i think. Great spot and riding around tgere i hear. Thanks, unfortunately it happens to us all. He's inspired everyone he's met im sure. I feel fottunate to get to meet him and hang out for a few summers up at silverstar and then later camped in my yard for a couple bike visits in revy. It eas great to show him around with friends visiting from banff/canmore then a friend from NB. Great rides and cold beers. So awesome seeong the looks on friends faces when they saw him ride, well into his 70's then. His dog Jake and my cat Alley were buds. Jake would always run to my rv to see Alley when we rolled in. The only dog she ever gave the time of day to. If ypu see karalene and Btian say hi from Sean and send fond wishes to VicYes! I met Vic a few times and I know his son quite well (Brian). Thanks Sean, I will. I see Brian working on the trails or wandering around at least once a week. He’s got lots of good knowledge about this area (probably from Vic).
