Thank you for welcoming me. I am researching which E MTB to buy. I used to ride a pedal hard tail when I was younger and fitter.. as time when by, I didn't have enough time to ride so lost fitness. when I did ride randomly, I didn't enjoy it as I had lost fitness. E MTB makes so much sense, I just don't know much about them... I was looking for a second hand one, but they are rarely around and then I am limited for choice.

thanks

Joe

Welcome mate.
You'll see heaps of brands of bikes mentioned on this forum that you won't be able to get in Australia or will be very difficult to obtain. E MTB's are still a bit new for there to be heaps for sale on the secondhand market.

There is an Oz Facebook page for MTB, Emtb and enduro where I'd post the question to buy one, you can PM me and I will shoot you the link when I get home as I can't remember the exact name of the page.

Emtbs are really sensational to ride and as we get older it is a game changer, they rekindle huge amounts of biking enjoyment.

If you do buy new I would recommend researching the bike you might want and then find a LBS who stocks them so you can test ride but also get after sales service and warranty. Online stores may be cheaper (wasn't in my case) but if something goes wrong it can be a pain in the butt to have to box up your bike and send it back (not cheap).

Thanks for the response. I have test ridden a couple, but there are so many options and choices.. it's hard to know what to buy. they all have pro's and cons..

Welcome aboard. Emtb are a very personal choice, what works for me might not suit you, and vice versa. I guess the answer is to find one that you prefer, if you ask for recommends you'll get a dozen different answers, all biased somehow. There are many pros and cons but the big one for me is to buy from a shop where you can expect support if things go wrong. These things are thousands of dollars.
