Hi all,

First e-bike experience Orbea Rise Ltd, mixed bag really.

having a few problems with my left crank arm falling off (4 times now)
and retailer and Orbea not been very helpful.

from other posts it appears to be a common problem with the e13 cranks supplied.

I have the M10 with alloy cranks. There was a technical bulleting from E-Thirteen as attached to Locktite and torque up the pre-load caps as well as remove some plastic washers. I did this and had no issues then my bike shop did some work to it and did not follow the instructions. Last week my left crank fell off and the pre-load bolt was missing. I contacted E-Thirteen and got 2 replacement pre-load bolts FOC. I installed them today and noticed they have a much longer thread on them than the original ones and say "Torque to 4Nm" on them. They came with thread lock on them and I fitted and torqued to 4nM (not 2nM as on Tech Bulletin). I also made sure I cleaned and re thread locked the crank bolts and torqued to 15nM. Hopefully that will be it sorted. The longer pre-load caps felt much better going in and I think will do a better job.
