As we're all in lock down and furloughed I thought that was code for holiday which then leads on to being able to drink on a school night. Apparently that was wrong information which my beloved kindly put me right on.
Along with this, she also gave me a list of jobs which I am up to 86 from 91 so becoming a tad bored. Whilst doing job 12, empty shed, I pulled out my wife's two bog standard old school "mountain" bikes.
That was it - off we went. My wife is fit, me, not so much! As we live on top of a hill, one way or another we have to go up and my lungs are busted!
That prompted 24hrs of web surfing and YouTubing E-Mtb - hooked. Even showed willing and have cycled to the local shop for milk in the past few days.
As we live in the country, I need to get fitter, love skiing, I figure E-mtb would be a good place top put my efforts. No doubt I'll be asking the real dumb ass questions and I will jot apologise for it, everyone has to start somewhere, even if I am 50!! Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums mate.
Plenty of info in here and there are very knowledgeable folks to help you out.
I'm 53 and is not getting any easier on the old body. With the E-mtb I feel young again and I can keep up with some of the younger guys in the group.

Good luck.

Hi Flog,
sounds like my Lock down list lol. I wasn’t planning on getting an Ebike for a couple of years but found a bit of a bargain in this years January sales so I treated myself. I’m 55 and it’s the best decision I’ve made. You’ll not regret it as it makes going uphill a pleasure.
Many models to go for and try. The Cubes seem to be the best value for money at the moment imo.
Good luck with your search.
Cheers

Sounds like you may be contemplating a low maintenance value for money e-hardtail. I’d also agree with checking out the Cubes. Something like a hybrid reaction Pro 500 would be great for milk shopping no matter what hills you are faced with ? ? ?
