Hey im looking to upgrade the forks on a cube 500 performance

hello im new to the mountain bike and im struggling to grab the aspect of upgrading, im looking to upgrade forks do i have to get a new headset as well as forks if anyone can send me a link to some 110 mm to 120 mm and the parts needed for them to be compatible would greatly appreciated. My bike specifications will be listed below.

You need to consider a few things here. Firstly, the travel increase you area proposing, going from 100mm to 120mm. This “could” make the steering a bit vague if it’s a longer fork. But the forks also have a “A-C” measurement, which is axle to crown. This is the dimension from the axle, to the crown. So the centreline of the front wheel axle to where the lower headset bearing sits. You can get various travel forks with similar A-C, so start by checking what you have, then seeing what might be compatible.

If you get your fork spec it will probably specify the steerer tube dimensions. Common nowadays are tapered steerers with a 1.5 “ lower and 1.25 or 1 1/8“ upper. The headset bearings in your frame will be sized to suit. If you get a fork with the same steerer tube it should plug straight in but you would need a new, or swap over the crown race from your fork.

Also make sure the disc mounts are the same standard, IS or PM.
