Hi,
I hope this is the right place to post this question. Let me know if not.

I have a Ripmo AF that I like, but want to try out an ebike as well, especially because I have more trouble with endurance these days because of some weird health condition.
I mostly ride trails in the area, and will maybe occasionally go to a bike park that's not too crazy, but that's not often. The Ripmo AF is pretty well suited to what I ride.

I'm trying to decide between a few options. Jenson USA has the Scott Patrons on a good sale, the 920 is $3150.

I found a very slightly/gently used 2023 Orbea Rise H30 for $2500. It's also $3179 new at Jenson.

Also found a used 2022 Santa Cruz Heckler C MX for $3500, with about 1000 miles on it.

I'm hesitant to get a big full power super heavy ebike, as I've heard that the bit lighter weight ones can be better handling, feel more like a regular bike, and potentially be more fun. The Rise seems to be the lightest and most regular trail bike. The Heckler sounds fun and a bit more capable though, and has better specs, but a bit heavier. I have no ebike experience, may have to try to rent one or something. I'm mostly looking to be able to ride more without wearing myself out.

What would you choose, and why? Which is the best deal? Anything to watch out for with any of them?

I think it depends on what you're looking to use the bike for? Are you able to go and rest them out?

What I can say is that I went from a heavier ebike to a rise and the rise absolutely feels more like a non ebike than anything else I've ridden. So much so that I quite often ride it on zero assist when I'm out with others who don't have an ebike. I also Have a nukeproof Reactor so I could happily use that when with people who are not on an ebike but I find myself using it less and less.

I would only go for an used ebike if it was priced at least 50% off of the new one.
I will never buy an ebike pretending to be lightweight…
The bosch system tells me that I usually contribute with 30% of the power, and I wholeheartly believe that the suspension was cleverly designed with this on mind, so , it will perform very poorly whenever you input too much power to the pedals.

In in Nor Cal and ride a ripley af. I chose the rise b/c i wanted something upgradeable, "light" and more trail like. I swapped the wheels/hubs/tires and 34 off the ripley and have added a display, and remapping the ep6 rs motor so it has the 500w and 85 nm max of a ep8 (eMAX app). If your in so cal id suggest going to the jenson showroom and riding one..
