Help: Buy stock chain for bike or something else?

Hello my chain broke on my Orbea H25 so I need to buy a new one, should I buy the stock one or something else?

Some buy the cheapest they can get that is of the correct speed because they are a consumable item and moreover, they don't care about weight or colour.
Personally, I would prefer to be matchy-matchy with the cogs, but this is very much a low priority and based upon what the manufacturers say (they would, wouldn't they?) My single priority is that the chain is of the sort that doesn't rust if left overnight when wet (shame on me, but I know my failings).

However, you may have little choice. The last chain I bought took me a lot of finding. In the end the one I bought was one of a very few I could find that was long enough.

I didn't like the KMC chain on my Shimano bikes. I think the original Shimano chain has smoother, cleaner shifts. I would try a SHimano chain if you have Hyperglide and see what you think.
