thank you for accepting me! I have been reading for a while and decided to register. I hope to find a lot of inteersting things about e-mtb and perhaps I can help somebody.
I have a Giant Trance E+ 1 (2019). Up to now I ´ve been ok with it, it has the usual problems (won´t turn off when wet...). But there is more fun than trouble!

Welcome Peter. I ride the same bike & have had a similar electrical issue after washing. It took a few days of drying before the issue went away.

I also removed the front sprocket & motor cover & inspected all the terminals adding di-electric grease
