Hello from Fivetones - Orange Surge and Calder Valley Content

Quick hello as I’ve been on here for a few months but only just got the e-bike.

Very quick back story. Been riding bikes all my life (sometimes competitively). My history includes BMX (freestyle and racing) from about 1984, road cycling, early MTB, some trials etc. I also rode trials motorcycles competitively for a number of years (Cheshire, Derbyshire, North Wales).

I have a genetic health problem that affects my lungs which gets worse with age so having done mostly road cycling over the last few years decided I wanted an e-MTB. Demo-ed and ordered a Levo 19 Comp Carbon and got sick of the moving delivery date so decided to try an Orange Alpine 6 E (and the Levo again, pretty much back to back). The Orange just clicked more with me for loads of reasons and on the day I was going to order, the Surge was announced (yes, Orange kept that quiet!) so got that in Factory spec. Had it two weeks now. Oh man, I love this thing.

Hats off to the folks at Blazing Saddles in Hebden Bridge for outstanding service. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Support your local LBS!

No doubt the orange will be a great tool ?
I love my Five but not had chance to demo any of their ebikes yet.
Please post up your thoughts after you had chance to give it a Good testing.
