I recently ordered a Trek Fuel Exe at LBS in Brno, Czech Republic, where I live. It will arrive in March. I have ordered the lowest 9.5 (+ spare battery pack) and I plan to swap almost everything except the frame and motor.
It will be my first e-bike. So far, I've been riding mainly the "analog" enduro rig Rocky Mountain Altitude. I'm keeping that for the bike parks, but I want to try an e-bike on the local trails - the hills around Brno are really steep and the leisure time is precious.
I'm a father of three kids, 12, 10, and 4; all of them ride bikes, of course I teach not only my kids to ride bikes at the local MTB (enduro) sports club on weekends.
I hesitated to buy an e-bike for a while, mainly because I was worried about how I would motivate my kids to ride uphill if I rode an e-bike myself… In the end, I gave it a shot with the plan of bribing them by towing them uphill occasionally
