Hi, I’m new to mountain biking and just got an eMTB. With the lock down going on I went crazy, so a friend suggested mtb. I had a 2005 Trek Fuel EX9 that an old friend gifted me that I’ve never used. After a quick check that everything ok I went with him and realized I am so out of shape and this is kicking my ass. That being said I had so much fun.
The next day I started researching for a new bike, came across eMTB. 2 days later in a proud owner of Orbea Wild FS H30.
Since then I’ve gone 3 rides (all in a span of 7 days). 2 with my friends with regular bike, which now I can hang with but the last one was by myself and went 16 miles and 4650’ elevation gained. I ran out of juice about 1 miles before I completed my ride. This will teach me to do better battery management next time.
Ienjoying it so far and learn a lot. I’ve never a bike person before, sure I rode bikes when I was little, but it was merely as mean of transportation.
I also realized how dangerous this could be, I’ve been riding with my knee guards for my motorcycle rides. Now I’m shopping for body armor. I can definitely use a pointer in selecting a good body armor.
