I don’t mind the design. It’s not out of place with the current crop of eCommuter bike designs at all. I’m guessing it’s their modern take on a city cruiser or a vintage beach/boardwalk racer. I like the leather trim and that brown belt drive. Let’s not forget that the original vintage Harleys were motorised pedal bicycles after all.

Where things may clash with today’s modern cycling psyche (lightweight everything) is that Harley Davidson once heavily pushed a marketing strategy that bragged about ‘heavy big and strong wrought iron.’ But I don’t think the Lycra or the off-road cycling crowd is their intended market. I do hope it sells well, but there’s a lot of badge culture hype or stigma associated with the brand that could either work for or against it.

Brose motor .. In some weird way I think it looks fun for plodding round town .. it would also look fun to watch someone else ride it downhill ..

I quite like the little controller ...
