Anybody had this issue and how was it fixed?

Unfortunately it's described as a controller fault, which is part of the motor.

Although I answered this question via your PM, can you tell me which Yamaha motor you have? PW, PE-SE, PW-X etc? Or give me the numbers from the silver sticker on the bottom of your motor (just under the bash guard). If not, can you tell me the year of your bike and if the crankarms connect to the motor via a "square" drive or splined (ISIS) drive?
