Aka PACNW aka The Great North Wet... Specifically the Columbia River Gorge. Aka The Gorge in these parts.
My current eBike is a B!C AlpenChallengePro Amp... clever marketing there BMC. happily they build a better frame ... she flies down the road in eco-more and in general, as a BMC handles like a good gravel bike. Just a ton of fun on twisty mountain roads, gravel, dirt or tarmac.
Current MTB is a Devinci Django 29 which I adore. Full carbon, carbon hoops, Fox Factory Kashima, Sram. Sweet acoustic ride. Very much dialed in for our local trail networks which feature lots of single track, twisty up and down. A very tossable ride.
Left knee arthritis is making normally aspirated riding more painful that is reasonable though. Doc says total knee replacement is a ways off as most of the damage is medial and he wants to see more or less even damage before TKR. Apparently waiting for a full rather than a partial has predictable better outcomes. OK... I'll deal with it.
Looking for an eMTB that doesn't feel like a truck going down hill... my current sites are set on the Orbea M10. I though a bit about the Turbo Levo SL carbon comp as well. Reliability scares me a bit there. Specialized going consumer direct is also a thing for me. I like my local LBS. Would rather help keep them in business.
My rational for those two bikes is of course weight. It seems to me like they would have the handling characteristics closer to an acoustic ride when descending. Do we really give up that much going to an SL bike over a 'normally weighted' eMtb ?
Thanks!

1. My wife on some sweet flowy single track on Underwood, Mountain
2. BMC overlooking The Columbia River and the town of Bingen Washington from Mosier, Oregon
3. My Hood from the back deck. It always rains here ;-)
4. BMC overlooking the Columbia, east towards 'Syncline'. 1 long grind up. Pick yer poison on the way down. Runs from ah, OK ? I think ? to OMG exit plan ?
5. Acoustical meeting in the woods. RT 44 trail network (Trail Forks) east of Mt Hood, Oregon. Nice flowy mixed surface single track riding.
