I imagine you will discover emtbs are no fun, hard work and slow, it will then sit in your garage collecting rust while you regret not buying a nice comfy sofa and a 65" TV.
Be aware that most first-time e-bike riders injure themselves quite badly ....... it can take days for their faces to recover from overstretched and overused grinning muscles!
So I had been looking at getting a Trek Powerfly or Rail 5, but after a trip to my LBS and a chat with the great staff, I’ve changed my mind. The Trek is out of stock in my size everywhere, and new stock that isn’t already taken is now end of October as the earliest delivery date. The guy at the shop told me about the Whyte E-150S. Checked it out overnight and was impressed so have ordered one. Very excited and should have it by next weekend.
Quite a few owners on here, I have spent a bit of time on it, and its a great bike to ride, Whyte have put a lot of thought into placing the weight etc in the best possible place to benefit handling, and they are designed and tested in the UK (you quite often seen them testing over in Surrey Hills for example), its a great bike for most uk riding.
Was reading through the thread on here in the other manufacturers section last night, was really encouraging to read what others thought of it. That can’t be a bad sign in my book.
Ah nice. Wish my budget could of stretched to the Whyte looks like an amazing bike. I should be getting my new (and first) ebike in the next few weeks also cant wait.
Interested to hear your thoughts about the whyte when you get a few rides in.
