Hello All
I'm a Danish long time cyclists who are enjoying both road- as well as MTB cycling. I have been cycling for the last 30 odd yeas and are now on the wrong side of 55 but my Gamin tells me that my "Fitness age" is 32 so I'll stick to that I do have a variety of different bikes, both acustic as well as electric, my newest toy is a Specialized Turbo Levo Comp Carbon that I got just the other day, I bought it from a Spanish webshop and the savings compared to my LBS was more than 1500€ - I bought it via eBay and shipping to Denmark was 4 day and shipping cost only 15€. My previous MTB riding have been mostly XC but would like to try out the more challenging trails both locally as well as on MTB trips.
Some years ago I got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and cycling have been my best medicine so far and I'm sure the sole reason why I'm absolutely symptom free is due to my hard work in the forest, on the road and frequently on my home trainer - However, not as strong on the long climbs any more and my new Levo is just what I need in order to give me a helping hand up the steep climbs.
As a matter of fact I do also have an old Specialized Enduro FSR converted to electric with a midframe engine. This is truly a best pushing out 1500 watts and a 58V 1500Wh battery. In Denmark we just got a new law giving permission to ride pedelecs on the street with speeds up to 45 km/h if you carry helmet and sign a special insurance. On the trails the 25 km/h still applies - I use my "Magic Specialized" to and from work where I got 60 km/day.
Quite happy that I found EMTB as it helped me a lot to choose the right E-MTB for me and have already spent hours reading the huge amount of fantastic information here
Kind regards
Karsten Horn
