Hi all - So carrying out my winter maintenance on my Levo and some of the bearing are nice and grindy... Anyway I have changed the bearings for new ones and can see in the manual that you have to grease the the shaft and under the head of the pivot bolt (why does that sound so wrong....). Anyway my OCD brain is looking for which kind of grease and wondered what the consensus is. I have available to use:
  1. Park Tool PPL-1
  2. Weldtite Bike Grease with Telfon
  3. Marine Grease (nice thick water repellent grease) or
  4. Copper Slip / Grease
  5. My hair grease (if only I had some)
Does it matter? Is my OCD getting the better of me?

Any help really appreciated in advance - Thanks!

I'd go for #3. I like to use Motorex 2000 grease(calcium based i think). It's also nice and thick, adheres very well to surfaces and creates a great water barrier.
P.S. Used that teflon white grease stuff on some bearing hubs before and it's not water resistant.

I use Maxima Marine grease on all suspension linkage bolts on my bicycles and motorcycles. Great stuff ......sticky and waterproof.
