It'd been a few years since we rode together but with the kids doing their own thing now it was time to reconnect to our old pasttimes. The plan was for her to ride the emtb up & swap at the top & take the lighter accoustic downhill. As soon as she got on the ebike & worked out that she can go very fast with not much effort she was off up the trail laughing but kindly stopped periodically waiting for me with a smile on her face as I arrived gasping & sweating .
She was a bit hesitant as she started the downhill but what a great feeling seeing the initial fear slowly being replaced with confidence & her technique improving round each berm. It was like we were 15 years younger!
I guess I'll have to start looking for a bike for her soon if she wants to keep going out.
