Try to buy locally and support locally (LBS). If this is your first eMTB you will need the support (updates, upgrades, repairs etc).

Type of motor would be my second choice. There’s 4-5 good motor manufacturers. My preference is Bosch.

And you can always upgrade components in the future.

Suggest you call Whyte HQ and ask 'customer services' which dealer(s) might have stock in your size. Is what I would do.

Buying online isn't to be entirely ruled out IMHO. Yes, support local where possible - but when every pound is a prisoner, it pays to shop around and sense check at the very least.

If you're competent on the tools and don't necessarily need much/any LBS support, or there isn't a decent one close by - there's deals to be had.

Blazing Bikes have built, set up and hand delivered my last two steeds, and I would highly recommend Will and the crew. Granted they're mainly Trek and Orbea I believe, but you get the point.

Turbo levo get the alloy 2024 model for as cheap as possible and upgrade the suspension assuming you got £500 back for the stock parts £1,750 gets a very nice setup…. Make sure it’s a 700wh battery….
