Going to try the 160mm crank arms. is anyone running these?

I get the occasional peddle strike and figure this will help prevent it. Any loss in performance going that short?

I have them om my Vitus's you won't notice any loss in performance, and they are not so short that you notice a difference in the pedal platform in terms of stability

Same here. I have them on my 2018 Jam2 Carbon and now rarely get any kind of pedal strike and if I do it's very light. I have the Xpedo magnesium pedals and pedal strikes can really chew those up fast. I think I noticed some pedaling difference but soon adapted until I don't notice it anymore.

And I dont think there is any performance benefit - I have the Miranda 160mm alloy cranks on two of my bikes, and they are ok, pretty basic, and I wouldn't say build quality is as good as the OEM Shimano - I got them because at the time Shimano didn't make any shorter Steps cranks, which they now do.

Shimano just recently offered 160mm cranks. I went with Miranda 155mm and it’s totally fine except you gotta move the seatpost up to compensate. In my case going from 165 to 155 was 10mm higher seatpost. I got used to them in 1 minute and descending and pedalling feels totally natural. However I am 5’8” tall but if you are very tall or have very long legs, you may notice more of a difference than I did

Best $68.00 I spent on this bike. Haven't go to take it out yet but the difference in length is quite noticeable. Going to need to get bigger crank boots though. The 160mm cranks are a bit fatter/wider that the provided 170mm cranks. Those took a small Race Face boot. I would guess these will take a medium.
