Gloves with finger / knuckle protection?

Anyone got suggestions on some gloves with a bit of finger protection / padding.

I guess it’s due to the weird weather (sunny, rain, hot, cold) we’re having this summer, but a lot of the trails are a bit overgrown.

My knuckles have various cuts from thorns, and I have 2 quite painful black and blue knuckles from hitting them off branches.

I have some old offshore impact gloves I might try short term, but looking for something that’ll take the sting out of wrapped knuckles and hopefully stop my fingers being a pin cushion!!

I was getting shredded by gorse and things a few years ago.

Bought these cheap Amazon ones until I found something good, but they've been perfect and hugely outlasted all of my Fox gloves, so I just wear these all the time now.

Work with your phone too, unlike my other "fancy" gloves.

They felt a bit stiff for the first few rides... but now they fit like a glove ......

These a real nice

Fox bomber is good. But they fall apart too fast for the expense.

I currently have these, which have upper knuckle protection… but it’s the ones in the middle of my fingers that are taking by a beating! I need something with full finger protection.

These are the gloves I’ve just dug out of my old offshore kit bag. They have full finger protection, but not a great grip on the palm… and no strap to secure them.

I’m maybe looking for the impossible - a lightweight glove, with full finger protection. Something like Zim’s ones, but a bit less rigid looking. They look like they’re for construction or something rather than cycling?!

Seems to be a common theme here… Fox gloves are very poor quality. I have about 4 pairs, and they’ve all got burst seams somewhere on them - usually at the Velcro closure bit.

My current ones are the Bomber LT… but perhaps the full fat versions would do the job (if they didn’t fall apart!).

Knox Action Pro or Orsa (leather or Textile) gloves will see you right...depending on how much you want to spend.
Not worried about the cost (within reason), as not being able to bend the middle and ring finger on my right hand today is probably costing me more not being able to type!!

I'm wondering if these would be any good.

They look a lot lighter weight than anything I've seen before, but have padding on the 3 fingers I require.
About £60-70, so more expensive than a typical Fox glove... but according to that review, they'll last a lot longer.

The cheepies aren't stiff or rigid. They bend and flex well. Haven't had a single paralysed finger and the knuckle protection is 100 times more effective than the d3o fox crap.

Not heavy either (pair)

They just work. I leave them on when trail tidying so they've been thoroughly abused and still no holes or tears.

They're not waterproof at all if that's a consideration.

Managed to find them -

Worth a try for £15.

Hows the fitment compared to Fox?

They're certainly good value !

Fitment is pretty similar to Fox, maybe slightly tighter.
Bought a pair of these in black to try out since they’re so cheap. £16.99 and next day delivery! They fit very much like Fox.
Away for a mini break before the kids go back to school this week, so haven’t had a chance to test them out yet…

I wonder if these are the same? I have been using the Fox Defend D30 gloves fir years but the seams on the fingers tend to let go. Maybe the 100% ones will last a little longer 🤷‍♂️
I always found the Defend fingers either wore/tore straight through or split after a few weeks. I used to cut the fingers off and use them fingerless for hot day alternatives. I also found the D3O would harden way quicker than it should (weeks), not sure if that was from "excessive" flexing because of where it's located or if I was always unlucky and got bad batch gloves.

I thought you would need "Bear 🙃 Knuckle" gloves :)

Those 100% clones/factory back door gloves are cheap ..

Decathlon also make a similar pair, but they've always been out of stock whenever I've tried to buy a pair to try out.
