Gloves for protection ?

Want something that will protect the little finger and side of the hand for when I’m giving trees some loving. But not padded all over as I ride in a hot climate.

I don’t have any mtb specific gloves, I’m still using my old stock of mx gloves, some of them have plastic armour sections across the backs of all the fingers, can’t remember what they are called but they are all over eBay cheap

Pull your brakes in a bit, move your hands inboard some. Worked for me.

Ride cross handed, then your pinkies aren't exposed on the outsides ......
