I am looking at my first e-bike on a budget and last weekend I rode a Trek Fuel EXE but now looking to compare a more full fat bike that I can buy local to me.

The Giant is currently on offer for £3000.

Watched some youtube vids on it a they seem to really enjoy how it rides but couple of questions. This one makes it look like a bit of fun:

The spec seems decent enough for what I ride, I know they are not the best components but I don't really do anything more than light flowing trails together with uphills and flats. I am currently on a 2018 Fuel EX 8 which is fun on the downs but I am struggling now on hills. Trouble is I do not want to lose that fun feeling of riding and worried a full fat might possible do that?

As I will have to charge the battery outside of the bike, was just wondering how much off a faff this is? Will it eventually become loose etc?

Sorry for ramble!

As a previous owner here is my 2 cents... Though I liked this bike very much, I changed it for a Reign E+ for the geometry.
The Trance X E+ has a long Chainstay and low Stack (comparatively) making it a great climber, good allround trail and okay descender. I would test ride it, if it feels comfortable and you don’t do crazy descents you will love it. Charging the battery out of the bike is easy, taking it in and out is a 30 second deal, no need to flip the bike or anything strenous.
Will be hard to find the same components at similar price.

Thank you - will give it a try at the weekend. My current bike is pretty low stack but it being quite old and non electric the geometry is way different!
