Hi Folks.
I still love riding my Giant Trance 2020. But it's a pain to work on.
So I thought I better sell the it after the engine service, while it runs great and there is a predictable lifetime on the crank bearings left.
But should I get a newer Giant or look somewhere else ? (The end of 2024 sale makes it tempting to stay with Giant).
1) Has the bearings in the SyncDrive Pro 2 post 2020 been improved/longer lifetime?
2) Is the outline of the cable/connectors improved?
When I look at the engine cover of the 2022 Giant Trance X E+ Advanced it certainly look more sleek and better integrated than 2020. But how does it look when engine covers are peeled off? My google skills doesn't show anything besides a video, that just show how to hack the speed limiter, and that only involves opening the lower cover and attaching a longer cable with the chip. The inside of the engine "bay" is not revealed.
But if it's still looking like this shit inside like 2020 I'm not convinced.
I want an e-MTB that's nice to work on !
All the best
