Giant Talon 2 with BBSHD

I am about to start a conversion on a bran new Talon 2/ BBSHD this weekend. Apparently you need to grind a bit the lips of the down tube in order to rotate the motor. I am afraid to grind but if someone else was successful I would love to hear from them. I still think it is a great bike for putting a BBSHD
