Hi just wondered what people are thinking about the new motor?.
Only ridden my new reign 3x times but at the moment a bit lukewarm about it. Coming from an e8000 which was a great natural ride but loads of resistance to riding a bosch gen 4 the giant motor im struggling with. Its definitely not as punchy as the bosch and the auto mode is i feel all over the place 1 minute its there the next it backs off completely within a few pedal strokes and the resistance feels like a ships anchor.
Sometimes it like low cadence then it changes to like high cadence. Cant get a feel for it. Do i need to change my riding style or stay away from it altogether.
The bosch emtb and emtb light works so much better in my opinion. Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.

Hi there, I have a Fathom E+3, not sure if its the same motor but I have the exact same issue in auto mode and no longer use that mode. I also have resistance issues but ive put that down to me hitting the certain speed that stops assistance although at times I could swear im nowhere the speed that this should stop and it feels like im hitting the breaks, very annoying.

Fathom 2022 has the PW-X2 motor, I think only 2022 Reign and Trance have the PW-X3 so far. Auto mode needs some getting used to, which I never could do 🙁. All other modes work fine for me, I have both PW-X2 & PW-X3 models. Good bikes 👍
