Levo Gen 3 Gen 3 Conversion to SRAM T-Type

I have read alot of old posts about this conversion but wanted to review it before I start ordering parts. This is for the Levo GEN 3 Full FAT. What I believe to be true:
  • GX Eagle Transmission derailleur - Compatible
  • 10-52T GX Eagle Transmission cassette - Compatible
  • GX Transmission Flattop chain - Compatible
Where I get confused is the Chainring. I want to use the 104 bcd chainring. So my question is If the stock chainring is +3mm offset and the chainline is 52mm then would a 0mm offset make the chainline 55mm?

Email from Praxis the MTN E-RING 104BCD chainring is 0 offset.

I’ve been running the 104 chainring that came with the XO kit for months with no issues. The chainline is fine, you may have to play with micro tune a bit to get it perfect though. I haven’t had to re-adjust it since SRAM updated the torque figure for the mount bolt so that’s a plus.

The only other thing I recommend is don’t forget to buy the tools if you don’t already have them. I had to wait a few days for the right tools to show up before I could install mine, couldn’t get the damn chainring off the spider with it still on the bike at all.

The Levo is a boost rear axle..ie 148mm therefore the chainline to match that is typically 52 or sometimes referred to as +3. My understanding is that T Type is normally specified with a 55 chainline (+5) but as a bove seems to work OK with 52 with a bit of fine tuning in the AXS app. The standard 104 BCD for the Levo is 0 offset presumably because the required (52 ) offset is provided by the spider.

ps chainline 49 is zero offset ( 49 is the distance from the centre of the BB to the chainring) and is typically to match with a 142/non boost rear hub.
Virtually every EMTB uses a boost rear hub ( 148) hence a chainring offset of 3 since the cassette is 3mm outboard compared to one mounted on a 142 hub.
If you stay with a 52 chainline the end result is that the chain is in line.....ie straight..... probably on cog 4 or 5 of a 12 speed cassette rather than cog 6. The chain will therefore be marginally more "crossed" on cogs 7 to 12 ( the highest gear ratios).

0 offset is 49 not 55? I thought the +3 moved the chainring closer to the motor and 0 offset moved it closer to the crank arm. I run a 36t Praxis Ering chainring now. It just clears the frame.
