So after replacement of my rockshox forks the new motor was fitted today, unfortunately on a test ride the bike was still “squwarking like a demented parrot” drove the mechanic mad apparently, so instead of getting my bike back today they are going to have to speak to specialised Monday as they don’t know what’s wrong!, rapidly losing faith with the bike, out of 12 weeks of ownership only been able to ride it for 8.

I hope they are able to get it fixed for you soon, As you know, I know exactly how you feel.

I'm really lucky to have a great bunch of guys in the store I got my bike from, as even after my last service, my rear cassette just keeps slipping as does the chain and motor is "clicking" when I put a load through it.

So now they are just exchanging the entire bike for a brand new one (mine is less than 30days old though)

I'm expecting a delivery this week of a brand new, unused fully boxed Carbon Expert so fingers crossed this one will be more reliable than the current one as the bike is absolutely incredible.

I'm not getting a 2019 model, but I'm going to upgrade in the summer next year to a 2020 model, and my other half wants one too,
so we will for sure be shopping with the same store.

Sure supporting a local store is great, but when you get support and service like that, from a non local shop, well... I'd rather take the slight inconvenience of delays in getting things fixed, but with knowledge of hassle free, fast, prompt amazing service.

I hope you get the bike sorted and keep us posted with what it was and how they fix it etc as it could be useful if others run into similar issues.

Glad they are exchanging you bike, under consumer law you have that right as it’s under 30 days, I’ve spoken to the concept store who are speaking to specialised today and that maybe a direction they go too.

Yea, I think a replacement is a good option, it was the shops idea, so I'm hoping the new one is a better experience.

It's sometimes easier, cheaper and overall more beneficial to all to simply just replace it.
The man hours, parts and time taken to travel in/out and etc will in some cases be more than the cost of exchanging it.

The store did an amazing job for me, when the bike went in after being faulty, they serviced the bike, replaced the damaged parts etc... but after less than 2 days the bike was exhibiting the same issues again, so they just offered to replace it.

It should be here tomorrow, however I may have to wait until Saturday before I can use it, as it may need some slight assembly (dropper/wheel/bars) and my LBS can't do it until Saturday, as they need 6 hours and £40 to fit the dropper.

Well my beast is back! After the forks were repaired by rockshox, a new motor fitted, which took over 3 weeks the source of the sound turned out to be sound deadening material needed replacing above the motor! So now we know

Get out and enjoy it!
Mine hasn't arrived yet, but should be here before 6pm.

I'll see what needs building and decide from there. Really looking forward to getting on the trails, the old bike hasn't allowed me to do that yet, so enjoy your bike while you have it :)
