After some help........ I’ve just gone to replace my cassette on my Giant Trance E+2 and The freehub body has come off still attached to the cassette. Has this happened to anyone before? I’ve tried knocking it out with a mallet but it’s not budging

Unfortunately, in time the steel cassette will eat into an aluminium freehub body.

To be honest, it may not be as bad as the photo.
You'll need to clamp the freehub body in a vice using soft jaws, so as not to damage it further, and using a chainwhip, apply pressure anticlockwise to each sprocket, it will be the larger ones that have caused the damage as these exert more torque on the freehub. If you manage to remove the cassette, any burs on the freehub can be smoothed with a file.
