Fox Transfer dropper post getting sticky

I've had a Fox Transfer dropper post for around 4 months.

Originally, it worked well, but now it's noticeably slow to pop back to the extended position. it often fails to make it the last inch, which means I have to take my other hand off the handlebars and nudge it. Annoying.

I haven't done any maintenance on it yet, except for wiping it down after each ride.

What do I do? Claim a service on warranty or should I try and service it myself?

My '19 did this. I sent it back for warranty service. Does it function in the same way off of the bike?

Thanks for your advice.

I didn't take it off the bike yet. I didn't want to fiddle with the cables if people on here just advise me to claim a service on warranty. I don't think it's an issue with the clamp being too tight, if that's what you're asking, as I haven't changed the tension on the seat post clamp since it was installed.

I had similar a few months into ownership. It was the seat clamp too tight. I adjusted it to 4Nm, from 6, and the post didn't stay up. I then used carbon fibre assembly paste and job done. May be worth checking the manual?

Thanks for your reply. I will check the manual. I have to find it online, because the LBS didn't give me any information when they installed it.

I had this happen to mine, it would get stuck in the position it was raised too, and not return to full height unless fully depressed again.

Silverfish warrantied it , no problems since, they said wasn't enough grease/lubrication out of the factory in it. Their turnaround was about a week form recollection
