Answered Fox shock service in Wiltshire area.

I've got an issue with the Fox rear shock on my Focus Jam2, ideally I'd take it back to the shop I bought it from but as it was from JE James it's not very convenient.

They said I could have it looked at locally but would probably get charged labour. Any recommendations on where to take it in the Wiltshire or South Gloucestershire area?

Try Sprung at FoD.

I was at the Forest of Dean on Saturday, I asked Sprung then if the noise I was getting was normal, it wasn't... I would have had to book it in there and it's over an hour from me.

I've taken it to a bike shop in Swindon, they are also a shimano service centre so hopefully I'll use them for any future issues /servicing.

Turns out the shock is fine, bike linkages etc all fine. The issue is the mounting brackets on the frame don't exactly line up with the ones on the shock resulting in it being forced into, I assume a not correct position.

Back to JeJames it goes unfortunately, who have been very helpful so far, not expecting the same from Focus though, fingers crossed it's not a long drawn out affair.

Hi Stiv, I'm in Swindon which shop did you take it too out of interest? I'm in Wroughton give me a shout if you fancy getting out anytime, this was us out on the Ridgeway last night.

Hi, I took it to Mitchell's, all their reviews were positive so decided to try them.

Unfortunately they can't fix the problem so bike has to go back to JeJames for them to check it and go through the warranty process...

That looks like fun at night, I've ridden mostly on the Ridgeway and Marlborough downs area, great place to ride. Hopefully I won't be without mine for too long.
