Levo Gen 3 Fox clear coat comp alloy?

Have a blue levo comp alloy and a bag rubbed the clear off in a completely spots. Was wondering if anyone had any experience fixing clear coat? And if they had any expeience.

Sorry I have no direct experience to offer, but...
Isn't clear coat just another "paint" finish? Therefore, with careful rubbing down and a spray can of lacquer/clearcoat/whatever....

I had a satin finish black alloy bike frame (2013 Norco Sight 1). My right leg bends inwards when I'm pedalling and the repeated brushing of my baggies on the top tube wore the paint clean off. It left a silver finish that looked as though it was meant to be like that until you compared sides. I didn't attempt to fix it. But I have applied helicopter tape to all my top tubes ever since! This was it in 2017 when I sold it. (I do a good spruce-up job.)
