Fox 38 performance E tune vs Factory 38 non E tune 🤷‍♀️

Looking at getting a new Santa Cruz Vala , it comes stock with 38 Performance grip forks (guessing there be E optimised )
I have found some super cheap new Non E optimised std Factory 38’s with grip 2 damper …….. which is going to be better in terms of feel and ride quality and plushness ?

I can't make heads or tails of all the various options from Fox. But... I'm completely sold on the Grip X2 damper. Can you stick an X2 damper in the fork that comes from the factory? It's only about $200-$250 for the damper. Ask your shop what they can do for you. Maybe they can stick on a Grip X2 fork for a nominal price. Maybe they can also cut you a deal on an X2 shock. It doesn't hurt to ask.

based on my experience if the Fox 38 is 2023 it will have the same damper tune as previous E bike tuned versions....which is far superior in every way. ( using the Grip2 damper)..............if it is a 2024 Fork it will have the X2 damper and I have no experience of that.

They are 2022 model spec acording to the Fox Website but I’ll have a play with pressure and volume spacers and I’m sure I’ll get them feeling good
