Fox 38 170mm upgrade

Have ordered the silver base model in medium (yay) but want to increase front travel to 170mm. I’ve found some forks on Merlin Cycles that look a decent price but the only thing is it states max 2.4” tyre size.

Does anyone know if this is correct or has used on their Amflow or 2.5” tyre?

I’ve got the same forks on my Reign with a minion 2.6 with no issues. and the Whyte E160rs has the same fork and has a Maxxis 2.5 on the front so it should be ok

2.5" wide Maxxis Assegai tyres came as standard on my Fox 38's, so 2.5" wide must be OK.
