Noticed from new that my Fox 36 Float Performance was leaking oil on the right leg at the back. It's where there are Allen key 'plugs' that can be removed to add the Fox mud guard. The leak was a minor shine on the bolt but now it's leaking down the leg.

Anyone know if this is due to a fault or excess oil? Spoke to a few people who said that all bike parts seem to be failing regularly with poor quality control of late. Maybe it's a warranty?

I don't think excess oil would cause a leak here. I would check to see it is nipped up tight and operate the valve a few times to re seat it, if it still leaks after that then it a warranty job for me.

are they not bleed valves to remove air, rather than mud guard mounts? maybe dirt in valves?

edit: ah, looks like they use them for mounting the mud guard too
